i own the dvd and i watched it once when i was...um. let's say 8?? at that age i was seriously freaked out about the world ending and me dieing and yaddayadda yadda. so i said it was a bad movie. BUT it has great acting and REALISTIC graphics. WATCH IT!

This movie is an amazing masterpiece. I give this 5 stars, not only because I have my interests in making sure Lady Liberty isn't burried under a few thousand feet of snow or melted polar ice-caps, but also because it is a great thriller and is amazing to see this kind of adventer. :)

i had very low expectations when watching this but it actually wasnt as bad as i was expecting, predictable but some of the effects are very well done, not great but not that bad either

MCT:August 15, 2008boring. predictable. stupid. but hey no one sees it because disaster movies are always a cheap way to exploit action and humanitarians everywhere. yeah the flashy graphics are good. the theory's on a stagger and outwardly unbelievable base. we get shown scenes of packs of wolves in zoos just to have it make sense for them to escape and attack the main cast. WTF? horrible. too many plotholes. this movie is just a mess of jokes. jake sucks. sure it's flashy and shit but it has substance that's sufficient enough for no-brainers only. no offence...

I like this movie. It is suspenseful, dramatic and has great effects.It also raises a real environmenal issue. If the temperatures continue to rise as they are, the more likely there will be major flooding. There is already a temperature shift to warmer weather: global warming.

ive only seen this i think twice and i need to see it again, Unfortunatly ive lost the DvD and i need to find it PRONTO :)
Anyways, its a good film and there needs to be more films like this from Ronald Emmerich. More human survival films the better :)posted 397 days ago
